Fauntleroy Park

32 acres of densely wooded forest in West Seattle, Fauntleroy Park has a network of trails and paths great for wandering, hiking and dog-walking. This should be an easy find. Park hours are 4am-11:30pm
Congrats to Rockitbiker for the FTF

We really enjoyed wandering around in the park. The cache had a hint of eau de moisi. Thanks.

The walk in the woods was lovely. Except for the mud, the spot was lovely.

What a great park. We found the cache quickly and then walked the trails to the other full size cache in the park. No trades. TFTC.

The third 'corner' of the park I've been to today. Moun10Bilke's trail maps sure help when you've never been in the park before. Of course, they don't show all the hills! But then, without them I wouldn't get as much exercise! Grabbed the TB to take with me to Nova Scotia. Thanks for the hunt.

Thanks for the quick find on a sunny day!

We had a good laugh at the no bikes sign when we saw the stairs. Yikes! That would wake you up in a hurry. We've heard of this park, but this was our first visit. Dropped a TB looking to go to New York. TFTH!

Quick find, although the cache does blend in real good with its surrounding. Box was pretty icky on the outside. TFTC!

I got a little muddy looking for this one, but it was still a nice walk through the trees at lunch. TFTC!

We found both of the caches in this park today. Out caching with Debiko while visiting the area for a few days. TFTH

Finally zeroed in on the right tree stump and then it was easy. By this time of the day, after the other caches that we'd done in "woodsy settings", we were getting pretty tired and that "little" hill got us puffing a bit. TFTH

Grabbed last of the 4 caches found in this park today. TFTH

We weren't sure we were gonna come up with this one 'cause of the flood damage to the area. Lots and lots of places it could be with all the debris but finally located it. Took trackable and will pass it on as soon as possible. TFTGH.

Have not been here for some time, the main trails look improved since last time. Area around near cache is pretty boggy right now. TFTH, I think I left hackey sack and a hotel "parting gift", and took the Diabetes TB.
