| A nice walk in the woods of Schmitz Preserve Park. |
This should be an easy walk in the woods. This park was recently day lighted and the trails are in excellent condition. There is absolutely no bushwhacking necessary. The recommended starting point is N 47 34.669 W 122 24.134. The cache is a half gallon screw top jug painted black. The cache container is from the previous multi including the logbook. This cache will only take you on a small portion of the trails in this park, walk the others if you have time. Checkout the Seattle Park and Recreation website for more information about this and other great parks in Seattle. Peace, Nolenator

Probably one of the lesser known trailheads in the Seattle area. Nice spot, very peaceful. Thanks for the hide!

Neat park, great spot for a cache. Would have loved more time to explore the dense park. Without the hint though, it would have been a nearly impossible find; the GPS was swinging a full 360 degrees! Took the US Postal Service Travel Bug, left a rubber ducky. SL

Neat wild park in the middle of the city. The back trail we took into the park was steep, but set us down right next to the cache. Hints were very helpful, since our GPS was trying to send us in circles.

This was quite an adventure. It was raining, but no big deal, we were in the trees. Our GPS doesn't do too well under cover and it is even worse when the leaves are wet. We had a signal intermittently, but were able to pick the correct forks in the trail. After the last fork, we lost the signal and never got it back again. And then it really started to rain.
After we went what seemed like far enough, we were still had no signal, so B stood in the rain in what passed for a clearing, while L read the hint. As B waited in vain for a signal, L called out, "found it". We are sure glad you provided a good hint.
After that, it started raining so hard we were crouched under a bush under a maple tree, hoping it would not last too long. After a few minutes, the rain started piercing our cover, so we decided to backtrack to some big trees. It was drier under the trees, but then there was some lightning close enough to make us rethink the wisdom of standing next to big trees. So we bolted back down the trail.
It had probably only been raining hard for 20 minutes and the streams had turned into raging torrents. One of the bridges was close to getting inundated. It was shocking to see how much water there was after such a short period of rain. We were soaked by the time we got out.
Took a pig sticker. Left a bendy dog and Kyle the TB.

We LOVED this park. There were salmon berries, red huckleberries and thimble berries all along the path, and the forest was just lovely. Thanks for bringing us here!

Hints (Back) In a long fallen tree that is parallel to the trail. Very near a young cedar growing out of the log. Go around the non trail side.
