Don’t worry, no translation needed this time. The above quote is by the elf Galadriel, The Lady of the Wood. She ruled alongside her husband, Lord Celeborn, in the forest realm of the Elves: Lothlórien. She also happens to be Arwen Undómiel’s grandmother. Galadriel has hidden a treasure here in honor of the Golden Wood. Seek this treasure, and you shall not be disappointed with what you find. But whilst on your journey, beware of the Common Folk who walk the trails, throwing discs of doom at wandering passersby. If they see you, they may defile the treasure of the Golden Wood, and trust me, Galadriel is one Elf whose power you do not want to test.

After my previous DNF, I begged a hint from the CO, but I was still floundering for quite a while. Finally, I took a walk in a new direction and snagged the little bugger about 30 ft from where I'd been searching all the time before. Another good geocaching lesson - if you can't find the cache, look somewhere else. Sometimes you need to put the dang machine in your pocket! Clever hide!

We checked out lots of things at dusk, and then decided to go find a cache elsewhere so that we wouldn't end our day with a DNF.

I didn't have the benefit of a guide so it took me a bit longer to find. But persistence pays off and knowing something about the owner's tendencies helps. Thanks for the interesting hunt and I don't think you have to worry about muggles on this one.

We were out caching with CB3 today and he pointed us in this direction after finding the nearby Evergreen cache. We didn't have any micros loaded in the GPSr since we're travelling and basically just looking for regular caches. But when you're right there and have a guide, who can say no. As we got close CB3 kept saying, "warmer, warmer, colder, colder, warmer, warmer, hot, HOT, HOT!!" And there was the cache. Hunting for micros with a guide is so rewarding. TFTC.
