| This Cache is located at the entrance to Harbor Island. This cache should probably be done during daylight hours, due to Port security. |
This public access park was dedicated to the people of Seattle by the Port Commissioners in the Summer of 2006. These gears are from the original West Seattle Draw Bridge. The bridge was permanently damaged on June 11, 1978, when the freighter Chavez rammed into it. The new high bridge opened in July, 1984. Parking is available at this location, but must be accessed from the back side (North). From Spokane St.turn right on Klictitat way to 13th Ave. go Right and right again on 11th Ave. and follow 11th around to the parking area and the Cache. Please replace exactly as you found the cache. $5.00 for FTF Congratulations to MattAlbertson on the quick FTF.

Wow, now that spot gives new meaning to the phrase Nooks and Crannies. Found the spot the hint referred to (bah!). Twas getting dark and hard to see so had to bag it after about 10 minutes. Will take another stab at it when it's brighter out. TFTH.

JoergWausW and I were out caching today, and as we were headed for another cache he mentioned that we were really close to this one.
Really?!?!? That's one I want to find. Some friends of mine found this a while back, and gave it 5 thumbs up! Too late, we were already past it. Maybe we can find our way there on the way back.
It's a little difficult navigating in this area, but I finally found a place to park. What interesting art! 41,000 pounds!! How did they ever move it here?
Searched high and low on this one for quite a while. Ah ha! That looks like a great hiding place. No, it's not there. Oh, look! Another one! Nope, not there either. Then something else caught my eye. Sweet! I took a closer look and... this is not the cache! Very cute!
Found the cache today at 1:18 PM, but left it hidden so that JoergWausW could find it as well. Thanks for a fun cache in a really cool spot! Better yetm, thanks for a great milestone cache find. (And I didn't even know it at the time!)
(Find # 1400.)

Found it Thanks!

You have got to be kidding me. The people who do things like this would be better applied towards quantum physics issues, or blowing up meteors approaching the earth. Geocaching is a waste of their considerable talents.

I would have NEVER found this one if not for my friend there who mistakenly found the cache, CLever!

Glad to clear up a previous DNF on this one! Very very nice, tough hide - great concept and love how the clue ties in although of course I didnt get it until afterwards .... Nearly gave up again but then I accidentally found it. SL. TFTH!

Florigen and I were out for a meandering bike ride. He climbs up on this thing, and ends up finding some cap that says 'skunked, not the cache'. So we know there is a geocache, but we didn't have a gps or even know it was here. We proceed to search around and then we find it! signed log and rehid.

originally tried for the FTF on this one, but in the rain and cold, I came up empty. Much easier in the daylight. Truly a great camo.

I have heard good things about this cache. Every day I have been looking at the gears as I drive to a project I am working at at Todd Shipyard. Today I couldn't take it anymore and had to stop. Thanks for a well done hide.

Got lucky on this one. After a frustrating navigation to the cache site, we finally got here. I went around the structure, saw something, and sure enough, that was it. Very nicely hidden!

I've been wanting to find this one for a very long time, but I get so frustrated with always going the wrong way in this area that I knew it'd be a big ordeal. Sure enough, I went the wrong way several times and remembered why I hate driving here. The cache itself was a delight though! Very very well done!

My favorite cache of the day! There are so many places to look, but I was able to get a hold of it after just a few brief minutes. I forgot to bring a pen with me today so I just took a picture instead. This is among the most well-crafted caches I've seen. Well done! TFTC!

Astonishing camo job. I didn't find it for a while, even though it ended up being the first place I looked. I am in awe. I'm surprised I found it. Thanks for the very cool cache. Harbor Island really has some zingers!

Wow, one of the best cammo jobs we've seen! Glad we were patient despite the cold driving rain (and this is April?).

Really cool hide, took us less time than the 'rents thought it would. I guess we are just that good. Ha Ha. TFTH
